1/4 of our way to 1 year old...Charlee Kathryn is 3 Months

Well the summer is coming to an end and Charlee Bug is 1/3 of her way to 1 year old! This month has been huge and to start it off we decided to take a day trip to Spring Valley Beach with Gigi and Brodie. It was the first time we got to try out her floatie and she loved to swim all by herself!

Charlee Kathryn is such a happy baby! Every morning when she wakes us up this is how we find her..... all smiles and ready for the day to begin! She has began to hold on to things and her favorite thing she loves is her Binky, which is her Giraffe Blankie. She will lay on her back and bring her legs up to reach it...and of course it goes straight to her mouth. We are almost CERTIAN she would have rolled over this month.......but we're still working on that one!

However, the biggest milestone about this month has been..... BACK TO SCHOOL!!!!

Charlee Kathryn was no longer with me throughout the day! I thought it would be soooooo hard, but honestly it really hasnt been that bad. Kenneth has been bringing her to work at 9:45 and Gigi brings her back at 3:00. I couldnt have asked for a better layout for us and so far Charlee Kathryn has done GREAT! I sure do miss her throughout the day, but I am so thankful for such a great friend who takes GOOD care of her ....... just because she loves her!

I can't believe how fast the summer went by, but I truly have to say that it was the BEST summer yet! Mommy and Daddy are loving every moment and watching her learn and grow has been so awesome. Charlee Kathryn is 1/3 of her way to 1 year old, and we can't wait to see what month 4 has to hold!

Charlee Kathryn is 2 months old!

Charlee Kathryn is 2 months old!!!! She is getting to be such a big girl. At 7 weeks she weighed 9 lbs 8oz and was 21 3/4 inches long! Not only is she growing but she is so much more alert now. She has learned to smile and has started cooing when we talk to her and say her name. It is so sweet... if only we could know what she was thinking!

She attended her first Pagent when she went to support Cousin Laura at the Miss Teen Alabama....so watch out Toddlers and Tiaras...Charlee Kathryn is pagent ready!

I LOVE VBS at Fairview First Baptist~!! Charlee Kathryn loved Vacation Bible School!! She was the "apple" of everyones eye as she got to experience her first "Big Apple Adventure"

There is one thing for sure that we know Charlee loves....WATER!!! She loves taking baths so we decided to see what she would do when we put her in Lollie and Pops pool.... SHE LOVED IT! She didnt fuss or even cry. She just let us float her all over the pool for about 30 minutes! I must say...her first swimming lesson was a HUGE success!

The biggest most exciting thing Charlee Kathryn did at 2 months (besides the beach)  was experience her very first overnight trip. Daddy had to go to Atlanta for a day so we decided to tag along for the ride! She was an ANGEL the whole way there and only cried when she was hungry! She was all smiles 3 hours later when we finally arrived !!! She did wonderful riding ..and this made us relieved because in 2 weeks we were heading to the beach..so Atlanta was a trial ride! While we were there we went shopping and ate at Pappadeaux...mommy had the best time because it was your first time to sleep in a big girl bed with mommy and daddy!!!!

We took Charlee Kathryn to the beach for her first "Chambers" Vacation, and I have to say we ALL had a BLAST! Lolli, Pop, Lani, Hottie Scotty, Cousin Chas and Aub, Gigi, Chris and Brodie all came along to join in on the the fun! Judy and Hinton Mitchem let us stay in the Opal again, and we couldnt have asked for a better trip. Charlee loved the beach and we all loved getting to spend time with our little beach bum!

At 2 months Charlee Kathryn has done it all. She is the best baby and still is a GREAT shopper just like her mommy. Her little smiles melt Mommys heart and I cant believe 2 months have gone by so far! When I ask Kenneth "What was life like before Charlee?" He ALWAYS replies " We got sleep" But we wouldnt change it for the world. She is honestly the best thing that has ever happened to the both of us. We can't wait to see what month 3 will hold!

1 Month Old

I can't believe that on the 24th of June Charlee Kathryn turned one month old. It puts a whole new meaning to "Time Flies" It seems like only yesterday we brought her home, and now she is a whole month old! During the last month I honestly don't know what we did before life with Charlee !! She has been such a blessing and we love her soooooooo much.

Charlee has been a great baby!!! She is on a 3 hour schedule and basically all she does is eat, sleep, and poop. She was given a bottle for the first time at almost 4 weeks, and since then she has been on formula. She is doing so well and harldy ever fusses or spits up all that much. 

She has began to smile at us every now and then, and it makes mommy's heart melt.

Charlee's first month was full of shopping trips which included the Cheesecake Factory, The Galleria, Sams, Wal-Mart, Jim-N-Nix, Peppers, Ruby Tuesdays, Mill Street Deli, Chamblees, and everywhere in Decatur.

She attended her first church service when she was 2 weeks old at First Baptist Fairview, and went swimming at the Aquatics Center with Zoe.

For Fathers Day she went to her first movie and saw the Hangover 2....which she slept straight through.

Charlee Kathryn is definitely her mothers daughter and loves to shop!!! She is perfect in everyway, and I can't wait to see what month 2 will hold.

When Charlee Kathryn turned 2 weeks old we scheduled for her to have Newborn Pictures made with Amber Black Photography. Charlee did so well and only peed in the floor and on me twice! Gotta love the "no clothes" pictures!!! Amber did a WONDERFUL job and we can't wait for our next shoot !!

Charlee Kathryn's Arrival

 On Monday night (May 23) Kenneth and I were scheduled to be at CRMC by 10:00 to be induced for labor. I was 39 weeks exactly when we went in to have baby Charlee Kathryn.

That night I was wide awake anticipating the arrival of our daughter. The nurse even had to come in by 5:00 am to give me medicine to help me sleep. I later found out what she gave me was 6x's stronger than morphine.
At 8:00am the next morning I was given the epidural. Things progressed well until 2:00pm when I was able to feel the contractions and move by legs because the epidural was beginning to wear off. I got really nervous and was also put on oxygen at the time. However by 2:05 and another shot of pain medicine I was ready to push. After only 5 pushes and 9 minutes later we welcomed our precious Charlee into the world! Our lives were forever changed at that moment, and we are so blessed to have such a perfect little girl.

After only 6 hours of labor, and 9 minutes of pushing we finally got to meet
