Charlee Kathryn's Arrival

On Monday night (May 23) Kenneth and I were scheduled to be at CRMC by 10:00 to be induced for labor. I was 39 weeks exactly when we went in to have baby Charlee Kathryn.

That night I was wide awake anticipating the arrival of our daughter. The nurse even had to come in by 5:00 am to give me medicine to help me sleep. I later found out what she gave me was 6x's stronger than morphine.
At 8:00am the next morning I was given the epidural. Things progressed well until 2:00pm when I was able to feel the contractions and move by legs because the epidural was beginning to wear off. I got really nervous and was also put on oxygen at the time. However by 2:05 and another shot of pain medicine I was ready to push. After only 5 pushes and 9 minutes later we welcomed our precious Charlee into the world! Our lives were forever changed at that moment, and we are so blessed to have such a perfect little girl.
The most awesome Dr. EVER and my sweet nurse Vickie who
helped keep me calm, cool, and collected on our big day!

  1. Keep it up. You will love having this a year or two from now when you have another baby or two on the way and can't remember anything.
